STEPHEN TYLER HOLMAN ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY FOR WARD 7 CITY COUNCIL SEAT
1/11/2013
NORMAN – Today, Stephen Tyler Holman announced that he will run for Norman’s Ward 7 City Council seat.
Mr. Holman is the 4th generation of his family to call Norman home. He works for a family owned business in downtown Norman and has been involved in Norman city government for over a decade and continues to play an active role to this day. He currently serves on the 2060 Strategic Water Supply Committee and is the liaison for the city element in organizing the Norman Music Festival. Having coming up just 21 votes short of winning the Ward 7 seat in a May 2011 runoff, Mr. Holman believes that his hard work and extensive knowledge of the issues facing Norman will make him an excellent representative for the community. Mr. Holman, if elected, will bring in leadership that the constituents of Ward 7 and the city as a whole deserve.
“I feel that I have a very strong grasp of where this community has come from and where we have the potential to go. My commitment is to work towards safe housing for all and to encourage smart growth practices in future planning. My number one commitment is to work towards solving our current and future water supply needs. I will work with my fellow council members, the public, and local groups to make the best decisions that improve Norman and continue to make it a great place to live.”
Mr. Holman hopes that, if elected, he can work aggressively to address the current issue’s facing Norman. Mr. Holman would serve the constituents of ward seven with distinguished honor as their council member to represent them at city council.
